Joe’s love of film making began when he inherited his Grandad’s 35mm camera at the tender age of eight and started documenting the world around him.

He trained originally as an actor and whilst he enjoyed being in front of the camera he found himself being drawn once again to the other side of the lens. He turned his hand to cinematography, working for ten years and honing his technical skills as a DOP.

As a director, he draws on both his knowledge of lighting and camera techniques to set the scene and his understanding of performance to get the best from the actors he works with in both comedy and drama spots.

He still carries his Grandad's 35mm camera everywhere he goes.
